How much does a website cost in 2026?

Real numbers for a small business: what you pay once, what you pay every year, and what pushes the price up.

Short answer: a simple small business website usually costs a few hundred dollars with a freelancer, from a few thousand with an agency, or a monthly fee with a website builder. My prices: Starter from $190, Business from $390, Shopify store from $490, one-time.

The three ways to get a website

Prices online go from "free" to "$20,000", which is useless. The real difference is who does the work. Ranges below are typical and change a lot by country and by how much you need.

Website builder (Wix, Squarespace…), you build it yourselfmonthly plan, often $15–40/mo
Freelance web designer, small business siteoften $300–3,000 one-time
Agency, custom design and a teamoften $3,000+
Yorgo Builds, fixed packages$190 / $390 / $490

A builder looks cheap, but you pay every month, forever, and you spend your own evenings learning it. A freelancer costs more on day one and nothing after (except the domain). An agency makes sense for big companies with big budgets.

What changes the price

What you pay every year

This is where people get surprised. Ask about it before you sign anything.

Domain name (yourbusiness.com)usually $10–20 / year
Hosting for a normal websitecan be free
SSL (the lock in the address bar)free
Online store platform (Shopify)Shopify's monthly plan
Updates after launch (optional)care plan, $25/mo with me

For a normal website I host it for free, so your only yearly cost is the domain, registered in your name.

My prices, plainly

Starter: one page, WhatsApp button, contact form, mobile-readyfrom $190
Business: up to 5 pages, Google Maps + basic SEO, menu, services or galleryfrom $390
Store: Shopify, up to 20 products, payments and deliveryfrom $490
Online payments add-on$100
Booking system add-on$150
Arabic + English+25%
Extra store products$50 per 10

You pay 50% to start and 50% before launch. Starter and Business sites are ready in 7 days once I have your photos and text; stores take 10 to 14 days. Full details on the prices page.

How to avoid paying too much

  1. Get a fixed price in writing, not an hourly estimate.
  2. Make sure you own it: the domain in your name, and the site handed over if you leave.
  3. Start small. A good one-page site that brings messages beats a 10-page site that's still "almost ready".
  4. Ask about yearly costs before you start, not after.
